What Is Angelic Reiki? A Practitioner’s Guide

19 April 2026

There is a kind of healing that doesn’t ask you to do anything at all.

No movement. No effort. No figuring out what’s wrong or how to fix it. You simply lie down, close your eyes, and allow something larger than yourself to do the work.

That’s Angelic Reiki, in its simplest form. And it is one of the most profound things I’ve ever experienced, first as a recipient, and now as a practitioner.

How Angelic Reiki Found Me

I came to Angelic Reiki at a time when yoga alone wasn’t reaching what needed to be reached. My body had been carrying something deeper than tight muscles or shallow breathing, something that movement and breath couldn’t quite get to.

A friend suggested I try a session. I was sceptical, if I’m honest. I’d been practising yoga for years and understood the energy system through that lens. But angels? That felt like a stretch.

What happened in that first session changed my mind entirely. Not because anything dramatic occurred, but because something shifted, quietly, undeniably, in a place I hadn’t been able to access on my own. There was a sense of being held. Of being seen at a level that had nothing to do with words.

I trained as a practitioner shortly after. I couldn’t not.

So What Actually Is Angelic Reiki?

Angelic Reiki is a hands-free energy healing modality that was channelled by Kevin and Christine Core in 2002, through Archangel Metatron. It works with the energy of the Angelic Kingdom of Light to heal at soul level, not just at the level of symptoms, but at the root cause of whatever is out of balance.

Unlike traditional Reiki, where the practitioner directs the energy and decides where to send it, in Angelic Reiki the angels themselves guide the healing. The practitioner’s role is simply to act as a bridge, to hold the space, to be present, and to allow the energy to flow to wherever it’s needed most.

This is an important distinction. It means the healing isn’t limited by the practitioner’s knowledge or perception. The angels see the whole picture, past, present, and the patterns that run beneath the surface of things. They work at whatever level is most needed, whether that’s physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual.

How Is It Different from Traditional Reiki?

People often ask me this, and it’s a fair question. Both are energy healing modalities. Both involve channelling healing energy. But they work in quite different ways.

In traditional Reiki, the practitioner is trained to channel universal life force energy through their hands on or near the body. The practitioner uses their intuition and training to direct the energy to where they sense it’s needed.

In Angelic Reiki, the practitioner steps aside. The healing is conducted entirely by the angelic realm. The practitioner doesn’t need to diagnose, direct, or decide, the angels do that. This means the healing can reach places that the conscious mind might not even be aware of.

There’s also a quality to the energy that feels different. Clients often describe it as softer, warmer, more enveloping. Several people have told me it felt like being wrapped in something, a presence, a warmth, a kind of love they couldn’t quite name.

What Happens in a Session?

Here’s how a typical session unfolds:

We begin with a conversation. I want to know what’s going on for you, what brought you here, what you’re feeling, where you’d like to focus. This doesn’t need to be detailed or prepared. Just come as you are.

Then you lie down somewhere comfortable, fully clothed, with your eyes closed. I’ll guide you into stillness. When you’re settled, I invoke the angelic healing energy and the session begins.

For the next thirty to forty minutes, the angels work directly with your energy field. You may feel warmth, tingling, waves of emotion, or deep calm. Some people see colours or images. Some people fall asleep. All of this is normal, and the healing works regardless of what you consciously experience.

Afterwards, we talk through what came up, any messages, impressions, or guidance that came through during the session. I’ll also share anything I received on my side. Sometimes this is deeply specific. Sometimes it’s more of a feeling or a knowing. I share whatever comes, and you take from it what resonates.

Do You Need to Believe in Angels?

No. You really don’t.

I’ve worked with people who have a deep spiritual practice and people who consider themselves entirely secular. The healing doesn’t require your belief to work. What it does require is an openness to receiving, a willingness to lie still and let something happen, even if you can’t explain it.

Some people connect with the word “angels” immediately. Others prefer to think of it as working with a higher intelligence, universal energy, or simply something beyond the conscious mind. All of that is fine. The labels matter far less than the experience.

Who Is Angelic Reiki For?

Honestly? It’s for anyone who feels drawn to it. But in my experience, people tend to find their way to Angelic Reiki when they’re carrying something that feels bigger than what they can process alone. That might look like:

Emotional heaviness that won’t shift, grief, anxiety, a sense of being stuck. Physical tension or pain that doesn’t seem to have a clear cause. A life transition that’s left you feeling unmoored. A feeling that something needs to change, even if you can’t name what. Or simply curiosity, a pull towards something quieter and deeper.

How Angelic Reiki and Yoga Work Together

This is something I feel strongly about, because I live it. Angelic Reiki and yoga are not the same thing, but they complement each other beautifully.

Yoga works through the body, through movement, breath, and physical sensation. It helps you build awareness of your energy centres and strengthen your connection to yourself from the ground up.

Angelic Reiki works through the energy field, clearing blocks, releasing patterns, and healing at a level that movement alone can’t always reach.

When you combine the two, something shifts. The healing clears the way, and the yoga helps you integrate those shifts through your body. Clients who do both often tell me they feel the effects more deeply and more lastingly than with either practice alone.

If you’re curious about bringing this kind of awareness into your movement, my One-to-One Yoga sessions are a good place to start.

Where to Start

If something in this post has resonated, the simplest next step is to book a session and experience it for yourself. You don’t need to prepare or know anything in advance. Just come as you are.

If you’d like to talk about any of this, get in touch. I’m always happy to answer questions.

And if you’re curious about where your energy is right now, the Free Chakra Quiz is a lovely place to begin.
